Three Haiku- August 12, 2016

Three ospreys fishing

The heron on the sandbar

Is content to rest.

This love’s so vivid

I must have been colorblind

My eyes overwhelmed.

I once saw two trees

Birch and oak, their roots entwined

They grew in embrace.

Three Haiku – January 28, 2016

I will bring to you

The flowers of the mountain

and tales of the climb

Soft scent of decay

Mushrooms sprout red and white

Rain on the fresh loam

A great broken tree

Toppled by the autumn wind

Will lay here for years
