Three Haiku- August 12, 2016

Three ospreys fishing

The heron on the sandbar

Is content to rest.

This love’s so vivid

I must have been colorblind

My eyes overwhelmed.

I once saw two trees

Birch and oak, their roots entwined

They grew in embrace.

Three Haiku – July 29, 2016

The low hanging moon

Just above the crashing tide

Admiring her work

God speaks in bird song

That is, if he speaks at all

I answer in verse.

My soul like snake skin

I leave my old self behind

Something new entire.
